Emma Lydssan (b. 1998) is currently living in Germany. To her, photography exceeds the limitations of verbal expression. She believes in the power of photography being capable of building connections between the complexity of emotions and the mundane things of everyday life.

Her work remains focused on the intersection of mental health and society, increasingly shifting towards themes of social belonging and authenticity.

Emma completed her BA at HSBI in Bielefeld (2021), followed by her MA at FH Dortmund in Germany. She accomplished a trimester at LCC, London (2019) and a semester at LUCA, Brussels (2024).
